Welcome to our Website at ROPEHORSES.COM !  Rafter 97 horses are trained and managed by Pat Cotton.  He has trained ranch geldings and roping horses for over 25 years.  Pat's credentials in the team roping arena are well known among the ropers. His horses have earned monies in both the professional and amateur levels including the PRCA, USTRC Championships, CRA, CRRA, LRA, BUD LIGHT, COORS and ACTRA etc. as well as youth-horse titles. ROPEHORSES.COM represents sound, solid and competitive roping horses as well as ranch horses used in the daily cow-calf operation.  Most all of the horses are used to rope and doctor in the pasture as well as work in the sorting lots.  They earn a living working at the Rafter 97 and other local ranch operations.

At ROPEHORSES.COM  we ride and rope every day.  You are welcome to come rope with us and try any of the horses that might fit your roping needs. Most of our personal horses are insured and branded.  Because of the caliber and large number of ropers that call us each year for horses, we do have a few consignment horses listed.  These horses are currently in competition being hauled to rodeos and jackpots in Texas and surrounding states. When you call for information it will help to match you with the best horse for your ability if you tell us your USTRC #.  We list the ability level of each horse by using a US# ranking next to his listing.

Check out our listings and give us call.  Maybe you want something that we don't have currently listed?  We may have him in the barn.  We'll help you find what you're looking for at the best value in the market today.

Maybe you want to sell your horse and upgrade to the next level in your roping?  Call us - we will take a look at what you have. We'll rope on him - if he fits our program we'll either buy him or help you sell your animal. (He must pass a vet exam.)
